Get Involved

Find your way to get involved.

Successful reentry takes a whole community. Whether you can give an hour, a job opportunity, a meeting space or a referral, your involvement helps someone rebuild.

  • Mentor or volunteer

Our mentorship program pairs participants with trained volunteers and leaders for one-on-one guidance, encouragement and accountability. People who have successfully reentered society are especially welcome as role models.

Good for: anyone who wants to give time and a steady example.

  • Hire second-chance talent

We prepare participants with resumes, interview practice, soft skills and certification support, and partner with New Jersey employers and workforce agencies to connect them with real jobs.

Good for: employers, staffing agencies, workforce programs and trade training providers.

    Partner as an employer
  • Faith & community partners

Life After Life programs are delivered through faith-based and community collaborations, at churches, community centers and outreach sites. Partners can host workshops or support groups and help with seasonal outreach.

Good for: congregations, community centers and neighborhood organizations.

    Become a partner
  • Refer someone

We build referral partnerships with reentry providers, shelters and treatment centers, and welcome referrals from probation and parole, families and friends. Share only the person’s first name and the best way to reach them—we’ll take it from there with their consent.

Good for: case workers, supervision officers, providers, family members.
